The TL-SF1005P is a 5-port 10/100Mbps plug-and-play network switch that offers 4 PoE ports for connecting devices like Alarm.com PoE cameras. The main use case regarding our products would be for the we carry. Alarm.com CSVRs provide limited PoE ports depending on the model, but if you need additional PoE ports for hardwired cameras you have or plan to add, you can use the TL-SF1005P switch. This allows you to use both WiFi and with your ADC CSVR giving you more flexibility on your installation. This network switch can also just be used as a standard PoE switch if need be, providing some nice features for different scenarios, whether you use it for Access Points or even IP phones.
The TL-SF1005P comes in a wall-mountable, compact metal casing and uses a fanless design producing almost no noise. The 4 PoE ports can supply a total of 67 watts across all devices, with a 30-watt maximum per port. In addition, the TL-SF1005P supports an extended-range mode whereby the transmission speed of data is slowed but increases your PoE power range up to a max of 250 feet. Disabling this option allows the switch to use the highest data speed possible, but reduces the PoE range to 100ft. You can also enable a Priority mode which makes Ports 1 and 2 on the device take a higher priority over ports 3 and 4, so if your network is experiencing congestion, you can choose which 2 connected devices will have priority over the others. Another great feature the TL-SF1005P offers is PoE auto-recovery if enabled. Because the switch is constantly monitoring your PoE and Data throughput if the network switch detects a device that is not responding or acts abnormally, the switch will automatically reboot the connected device. This can be a lifesaver for camera systems if a camera malfunctions for any reason where a power cycle may be required to resolve the issue. The TL-SF1005P also features a slew of indicator LEDs including port LEDs, showing data transmission and PoE usage, and an overall power and PoE Max LED showing when the switch is tapped out.
